Fluxus Box Artist Statement

For this project I based my theme around the movie Pans Labyrinth by Guillermo De Torro. Pans Labyrinth is a dystopian fairy tale that ends with a tragic happy ending. The movie is very cold and dark throughout which is why I went with clay as my primary medium. I wanted everything to feel cool to the touch and fragile just like her child-like innocence. I had a lot of fun making this project and would work with clay for future projects again.
